Exclusive Interview

Dan, what’s new? What have you been up to in the off season? I know you’ve been working a bit, tell the folks about it.

I did a gnarly three week Absinthe premier tour on the Volcom RV, got my tonsils removed, and have been learning about and drinking Monavie! Yep, in the summer I sometimes help my dad with his sign business in Minnesota. He has probably 15 separate billboards that are 8 ft. tall and 20 ft. wide that are painted by hand. So being that I have time in the fall to help out, I have been putting in some work for him. It’s good to do real work so you keep in check how good the snowboarding work really is. Gotta keep it real.

You’re coming off a pretty successful year. A big Absinthe part and lots of coverage. What are your plans for this season?

The plan for the next season is to focus on building a super solid video part with Absinthe that I am stoked on. I know how much it meant to me when I saw a rider back up a solid part year after year, so I want to give the kids that stoke of seeing solid stuff year in and year out. Progression and fun!

What is most important to you in life?

Having someone to share moments with in life and doing what I love. Family, friends, and snowboarding keep the heart content.
