Megan grew up in Ride’s backyard, riding the great Washington and Oregon resorts like Stevens Pass, The Summit and Mt.Hood. Hailing from the NW you tend to care less about sunny days and perfect conditions, and allows for concentration on having fun. Megan has proven to be fearless in some very intimidating terrain. As a result, Megan has taken her Northwest experience and unleashed her skills to earn her many contest podiums. While the lift lines were packed full of everyone and their mother back at her home mountain Stevens Pass, evo athlete Megan Ginter was taking it all in, competing at the second stop of the Winter Dew Tour in sunny Snowbasin, Utah. 

Megan went into the final day in the #4 spot after prelims and Megan put together a solid run that back home would put most boys to shame.  In Snowbasin, Megan’s run put her in 3rd place behind Spencer O’Brien, who has consistently found her way to multiple slope podiums and Britain’s Jenny Jones. Not only did Megan’s run land her a 3rd place finish on the podium and a nice shiny trophy but it also got her an invitation to the Winter Dew tour Finals in Mount Snow, Vermont next month.

No stranger to competing at this level Megan took 3rd last year’s X-Games in Aspen. Her busy travel schedule of competitions has her poised for another trip to Aspen for the 15th Winter X-Games Jan 28-3st, then quickly over to the last Dew Tour stop Feb 4-7th in VT and then back home for Ride Shakedown.  Exhausting isn’t it?  Last season Megan had strong showings at first 2 Dew Tour stops before injuring her ankle.  Megan’s detemination and passion for riding at such a high level fueled a quick recovery and she was back on snow in NZ over the summer riding at Snowpark and training with a new coach who has brought here even more focus.
