How did you get started snowboarding?
When I was little my cousin started snowboarding and I looked up to him for everything. My dad surprised me with a snowboard for my birthday and here I am today

What do you think of women’s snowboarding today?  Where do you see it going?
Where do you see it going? It’s crazy to see how much the women in the sport have improved and pushed their limits in the last 5 years. I only see women’s snowboarding going bigger and better!

What tricks do you plan on learning this year?
I don’t think about what I’m going to do each day… I just go out and do what looks like fun. I’d like to improve my riding in all aspects this year.

Any good stories of entertaining or embarrassing wrecks?
Not really embarrassing… my long tumble down the hill in my opening shot in Creative Differences 2 years ago is my favorite. It almost looks staged!

What do you think the worst snowboarding trend is?
I’m not one to make fun of people… but I honestly do not like tight pants & ‘leg bags’, and all the extra ‘flair’. This is snowboarding… not some sort of fashion show. Everybody who dresses like that looks the same to me.

Do you think style should get more credit in the contest circuit, or should tricks be judged mostly by their level of technical difficulty?
I think contests should be judged by overall consistency, style, difficulty, and clean landing.  If all those are close, I’d go by difficulty.

Up to anything other than snowboarding?
I love to skate when there isn’t snow on the ground and I play volleyball when I can!

Hey, this is P-Nut, reporting live from South Lake Tahoe, CA. I'm here with a little update for the present 2009 and upcoming 2010 season.

If I wasn't snowboarding, I would have been trying to play college Volleyball... Unfortunately, my high school dreams were smashed when I stopped growing at 5'3" and all the girls I played with kept growing... Oh well, I guess snowboarding is pretty cool.

In light of the 2009 summer season, I recently became a home owner so I've been dealing with the trials and tribulations of new home owner-ship... which I would say are quite exciting, yet scary at the same time! I'm also SUPER excited be taking my first trip to New Zealand this summer to explore new resorts, runs, and meet the Kiwi's and no... not the fruit. While I'm out there, I want to check out the culture, a different mountain town, and pick up some souvenirs along the way. I also hope to ride in a few events, including the NZ Open, and represent all my sponsors overseas.

Some of the things that get me out of bed in the morning include fresh powder, warm & sunny park days, a crew of good friends, and just getting up on the mountain to take in the views of Tahoe. Each day brings something new and I love learning new tricks and watching friends progress. On days I'm not riding, I enjoy hanging out at my house and nerding out on my computer... but I also love getting myself into home improvement projects.

This 2010 winter season, I'm looking to start off by riding between Mammoth, CA and Summit County, CO for some early season turns! From there, I plan on returning to South Lake for Heavenly's opening day, which is always a great time.  My primary goal is to be healthy for the whole season and remember why I started riding - because it's Fun! Last season, I had a pretty successful contest year and did my first US Open. I really enjoyed the event and met a lot of people. So one of my goals for this season is to travel to more of the Opens and some other events and see what happens.

Staying dry and warm all season is also pretty sweet. All the riders and people that work for 686 are awesome and it feels like a big family. Snowboarding wouldn't be as fun without them and I stand behind the product, people, and company 300%.

Have a Great 2009-2010!
